Young People, Are you ready for #Abia? #AbiaIsBetter

There is a really cool project we will all work together in Abia State. Dr Alex Otti, governor-elect of Abia State, approved it this morning. For this project, everyone is an Abian because Abia is the new world. So, everyone is invited. It is a project that has never happened in the history of Nigeria, and it was conceived based on those comments you dropped on this feed.

Abia – prosperity through enterprise, and God’s Own State. We’re finalizing the concept note and I want every young person to #believe, and that is why I asked Mr. Governor-elect to approve for young people to lead and drive it.

A man who hired me while in FUTO, nine months to my graduation, and put me in a furnished 3-bedroom flat with a Mercedes-Benz and driver, Chief David Ogba Onuoha, Ugoena Abiriba, is coordinating with me. Graduated on Friday, started work on Monday! He believes in talent and the new Abia is a place where talented people will thrive.

One more idea just flashed my mind..

If the education system in Abia State has a way of identifying talent at the secondary School level and supports these children wholeheartedly, we shall train so many students in computer programming, blockchain, project management, all fields of engineering, medicine and law…we shall also support an army of elite artisans in industrial welding(including underwater), machine tooling and other skills that will power the industrial economy Dr Alex Otti and his great team envisage.

Anya Duruoha is a very experienced member of the transition group recently inaugurated. Going by his humble beginning from Methodist College Uzuakoli back in the days. Over the years he has made an enviable mark in the banking industry. Hence I believe he will bring to bear the experiences in sanitising Abia’s economy. Kudos to the Governor-elect.

There is the urgent need for the incoming government to fish out those individuals stealing government funds by way of receiving salaries in both Ministry and Local Government Coffers

    Thank you

Honestly I’m glad you are Abia Transition Team. Its tasking and I have a few thoughts on the entire excercise. We are 24 years behind and my first suggestion is changing how things are done in Abia.A mini bus driver today in ABA said they paid for emblem at N13000.Our IGR model has to rebuilt and technology driven to.Where are these revenues going to?To which bank?
2.Infrastructure Redesign and Development with Proven companies like JB in Abia.
3.Arochukwu LGA and Ohafia LGA should be linked from Aro to Ohafia via Bende in a dual carriage way built by Berger.
Industries:With Large limestone deposit at Iheosu Isu,A cement factory on PPP be established there.
4.New Satellite towns like Ututu,Uzuakoli,Umuikaa,Akwete Obehie should spring up.Watch Akwa Ibom: they have up to ten towns developed outside major cities
5.A bill to criminalize non payment of full salaries, Pensions and Gratuities should be the first bill to be sent to ABHA.Gratuities, Salaries and pensions be calculated in full without dubiousness
6.Development of Special Markets like Computer Village,Timber, Electrical etc to be sited between Imo River and Imo Gate this is to give Abia the Ogun State Lagos Proximity Advantage of tapping and synergizing with Rivers Economy
7.Complete overhaul of Health and Education facilities and systems
8.Building of an Olympic stadium in Umuahia, completion of Govt House (within 90 days)
9 Designation of Agro Zones with mass return to palm and other economic trees planting and farming with latest hybrid seedlings.
10.Overhsul of all markets,Their leaderships and proper allocation of stores electronically.
    11.Restoraton of LG automomy.
12.Commisioner for ABA Affairs must be energetic, person of integrity and creative to midwive ABA into a new biz hub.I still have many more ideas but will push them in via email/proposals.

  9. Chidiebere says: April 20, 2023 At 12:04 PM

Pls the governor elected should look into eradicating touts in Aba, create bustops, decongest Aba, move some markets to nearby towns like Ohanku and Ohuru where lands are wasting. A Technology University should be sited at Obehie to help train Aba artisans. A refuse recycling plant should be sited at Aba to help turn refuse at to wealth.
Ministry of Education in Abia should be looked into. They are defrauding private schools by outrageous taxes.

  10. Oriaku says: April 22, 2023 At 7:08 AM

All the past governors from 1999 should be brought to book and they must return our collective wealth these men have milked the common wealth of Abian’s and must account for the monies because if you travel to Ebonyi State of yesterday you will agree with me that our resources for almost 24 years is in person’s hand

  11. Chibuzor Aguwa says: April 25, 2023 At 2:26 PM

Let’s get it started. I cannot wait to see the Abia of my dream.
