Why does a whole continent need a company to build itself? Are there no resources and ideas within Africa?
You are missing the point. When you say you need investment, it does not mean you are not doing something. Amazon is today’s KKR, Carlyle etc which can help build infrastructure. That they are not here BIG does not mean nothing is being done. But having them will not hurt. No one is sleeping waiting for Amazon. But if it comes, great.
