Let me use this medium to thank the Nigerian Embassy in Madrid (Spain) for doing all necessary to help our fellow citizen, Francis N. on the passport. His job is now safe and he is picking his PhD certificate tomorrow. He just sent this note: “I just received my passport Prof! Thank you very much. The guys at Madrid embassy really took the post seriously and ensured that it was processed – they even requested another post as a form of appreciation :) Truly thankful. God Bless!”.
I also want to thank the aides to the Speaker of the House, Femi Gbajabiamila, who wrote to assist, and the Minister of Interior’s office for the new changes. Yet, there are many in Canada who are still struggling with passports; I have told them to have a little patience that help is coming.
Of course, many here are disappointed that I have refused to use my “connections” to help them. Like I said, I will not ask for any special preference because everyone is preferred as a citizen. I have a post coming to show what the Minister is doing to fix this. I got that update last night.
