My dear state of Abia has a new logo. The meaning of some of the symbols, from the Igbo mythology and worldview, as symbols mean different things across culture, are as follows:
The Eagle (Ugo): A symbol of strength, courage, wisdom, power, and freedom.

It makes sense to wear a new outlook when rebranding. I still think that something is missing in the new logo, and that is the HUMAN who embodies and gives meaning to everything represented. A human feel/story can be incorporated by placing two hands as the base or on both sides of the base. This will signify Igbebuike or partners in progress. The red hat doesn’t fully done justice to that, because humans happen to be the greatest institutions on earth, it is humans that connect the dots.
Abia is putting the fundamentals in place to step on the road to greatness, and once it’s fully on that road, progress will accelerate.
The legend continues…
Please can we retain ‘The God’s own state’ it’s a much better inscription than the new.
Yeah right
