Last month, a US company acquired one of our startups which I got in before I launched Tekedia Capital. And last quarter, one of our Tekedia Capital portfolio firms acquired a startup. I want to welcome Storemia, the shopify-for-Africa, to OurPass.
The news is coming late because I have learnt my lessons: I came here and congratulated a startup only for it to become too expensive. Yes, American venture funds showed interest and we were priced out!
