The future of shopping is on YouTube. At least, that's what the video giant envisions. YouTube is set to unveil shoppable livestreams next week as part of its Holiday Stream and Shop event and as part of a wider push to establish itself as a shopping destination, per Bloomberg. The idea is to enable viewers to buy the products directly on the platform, with Youtube's foray into shoppable video coming as social media rivals including Facebook, TikTok and Snapchat also attempt to evolve into shopping platforms.
