As I noted when Lagos closed schools last week, shops and markets would follow, and by next week, it would be turn for non-essential businesses. Lagos state has drawn the largest sword: all non-essential markets and shops closed. Of course, pharmacy shops are part of the essentials, and will remain open. With the virus now in Aso Rock (the Chief of Staff to Nigeria’s president) and in a state capital (governor of Bauchi) have both tested positive), this virus has clearly arrived Nigeria with an unfortunate kpom. Yet as this paralysis happens, you need to be thinking: what are you doing to be ready to restart?
