Victory for Nigeria Democracy
As the results are being counted, I want to congratulate Nigerians, for one thing: structure politics is being disintermediated at scale. People, anything is possible - and if this playbook continues, many non-interested people will show interest in Nigerian politics in future. The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Adamu, lost his polling unit to an opposition party by a significant margin. In other words, he could not deliver his own polling unit, demonstrating that Nigerians are going past structures. That is Victory for our democracy)
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Adamu, lost his polling unit to the Labour Party, according to the results of the presidential election announced Saturday evening.
Earlier, Mr Adamu cast his vote at Angwarimi Ward, GRA A1-PB Polling Unit, Keffi, Nasarawa State.
Labour Party’s Peter Obi won in the polling unit with 132 votes while Bola Tinubu of the APC came second with 85 votes.
More data: Obasanjo who supported LP lost his polling unit for his chosen candidate. The same happened for Datti Baba-Ahmed (LP VP candidate) who lost his polling unit.
