Until such a time…
Quote from Chris Emoghene on June 12, 2020, 12:22 PMUntil such a time…
• When our society won’t celebrate someone who slept a poor or an average person and wakes up super rich, corruption and crime will continue to thrive.
• When citizens can be sufficiently and properly identified, and made to account for all their actions, security will continue to be a serious challenge.
• When we have a reliable population figure and other credible data devoid of political and tribal undertones, our “pursuit” of national development will continue to be a mirage.
• When we will revisit our values and morals as a people, the society will continue to be chaotic for everyone.
• When equity and justice are ingrained in our leaders and every facet of our national life, peace and unity will continue to elude us.
I sincerely do hope and pray that that time will come.
Happy Democracy Day Nigeria.
