Toyota has joined the increasingly crowded self-driving car race, joining hands with startup Aurora to build cars for ride-hailing firms like Uber. The plan is to test out Aurora's self-driving vehicle systems — which it bought from Uber in a $4 billion deal last year — in Toyota Sienna minivans at the end of this year. Hyundai and Kia stocks plunged late last week after they said they were not working with Apple to develop self-driving cars, contrary to previous speculation.
