The Painful Visa Story
Quote from Ndubuisi Ekekwe on July 5, 2019, 6:56 AMReading the story of the lady who was harassed in one of the foreign embassies in Nigeria is very painful. Interestingly, I am not sure the embassies are aware how their contractors are treating their “customers” [yes, the Visa applicants]. Speaking up in Nigeria is hard. Yet, I do hope someone can take this further where something is done on how Nigerian citizens are treated in foreign embassies in the nation. If the government does not do that, it means it does not value that we are Nigerians.
There needs to be honour associated with a passport. I have no first-hand experiences on these issues because it has been long I visited any embassy. Reading some comments, it seems the VFS people are really anti-customer service in Nigeria. Consumer Protection Commission needs to come here and assist.
