The new Bill Gates $billion should be sent to Nigeria to fight climate change.

Bill Gates, an outspoken advocate for changing course on the topic of climate change, raised more than $1 billion for clean energy. With the help of BlackRock's and Microsoft's CEOs, the new funding will boost Breakthrough Energy Catalyst, which Gates established to ramp up the "commercial viability" of climate solutions, including carbon capture and green hydrogen. BlackRock's Larry Fink said the goal is to "rapidly accelerate ideas." Gates further hopes Breakthrough will turn into a "model for public-private cooperation," per Bloomberg.
