No argument there - private schools are outperforming public schools: “Private schools consistently performed better than public schools across all indicators."The question is this, how can Nigeria redesign that process since we have more students in the public schools than the private schools? We cannot afford a system where many of our young people are structured to lose economic competitiveness before they even turn 18!
As you read the report, you will feel bad because just a few decades ago, private schools were seen as “quacks” and “unreliable”. But today, it is the public school system that is largely in a coma. Indeed, when public schools attracted brilliant teachers because the government offered them decent employment packages and benefits.
Today, nothing like: some are not even sure of their salaries at the end of the month.
