Nigeria Goes To Battle in English Courts
Quote from Ndubuisi Ekekwe on December 8, 2019, 6:41 PMWe ignored the case - but now it seems we are ready to battle P&ID. Yes, Nigeria has finally filed a real challenge against P&ID on the $9.6 billion magic win.
“The Federal Republic of Nigeria today filed a new substantive charges in the English Courts, in its ongoing fight against the vulture-fund-backed P&ID. This is a major step forward in their bid to overturn the injustice of the $9.6 billion award,” the Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami announced on Friday.
Mr Malami, I want to wish you good luck. This is really the case of this generation because if we lose, many bad things will happen as losing 33% of our national budget would be challenging. Yet, next time, do not ignore court summons, no matter how "trivial", as foreign courts do not run out of diesel that could shut down a court, as was done a few days ago in Abuja.
