Quote from Paul Ugbede Godwin on June 19, 2020, 6:28 AMThe influx of Telecoms into the Nigerian market has led to stiff competitions in the Communication sector. MTN-Nigeria has been maintaining a competitive relationship with other Telecoms firms in the country (9-Mobile, Globalcom, Airtel), in terms of network coverage and customer-base which could be seen in the trend at which its rolls out different ICT Products and Services.
MTN-Nigeria maintains Resource and Information sharing policy with other Telecoms firms in compliance with the NCC regulation of best practice and Information findings among Telecoms providers in Nigeria.
However, the growing needs of the people as to increased demand of quality service discharge calls for competitions amongst firms which stimulates effectiveness and efficiency in their operations in the country, MTN-Nigeria seats in a dominant position due to the fact that its captures a wide coverage spectrum.
Apparently, challenges of MTN-Nigeria still lies in poor network coverage in most Rural-Urban set-ups which tends to open the curve for competitions with GLO, 9-Mobile and Airtel amongst others who covers predominantly a wide area in the rural fronts in its engagements.
In the angle of Tariff plans; the operational service charge of MTN-Nigeria is relatively higher when compared to other firms who performs same functions, GLO and Airtel on this tenet charges fairly on Data bundles plans and also on tariff during calls.
MTN-Nigeria has a particular opportunity of making meaningful contributions to the Socio-Economic development of the country through stimulations of corporate responsibilities in various communities where its operates, the dimensions is measured through the direct and indirect impacts their activities poses on various stakeholders both in the workplace and the broader society.

But MTN can always point to all the taxes and fines. Largely, government has the resources to do it's work.
