Most Significant Feature in LinkedIn in Years
If you discuss scheduling a meeting, there is a likelihood that you will see a button - Create Video Meeting - in the LinkedIn Messaging system. That is a very important evolution for the professional social media company. Yes, scheduling of many meetings begins here but they usually take place somewhere else. So, by adding that meeting feature, LinkedIn wants to keep what it has won!
It has been the question I have asked many times: if Microsoft owns both LinkedIn and Skype, why have we not gotten the Skype option to make calls via IN messages. Yes, instead of the boring text-chat, you can hit Skype and begin to speak.
I hope to see a Skype integration soon right here on LinkedIn.
