Manage That Risk Better
Quote from Ndubuisi Ekekwe on March 25, 2018, 7:25 AMIt was built as an unsinkable ship. It was peerless, iconic and marvelous in engineering and ergonomics. TITANIC was incomparable and was heralded as a ship like never. But Titanic sank. And took lives with it. As the ship was going under the bellies of waters, men and women partied, ignoring instructions to leave the ship. Some looked at the “saving boats” and could not imagine how such boats could save them from the gigantic Titanic. Of course, “a living dog is better than a dead lion” says a proverb.
There are lessons from Titanic. You must be AWAKE to find success. You have turned invoice to that Lagos customer. They used to pay within 2 weeks. Three months, no payment. Yet, you keep working, sending more invoices. One day, you arrive, the door has been locked – the company has gone.
In a country where 79% of new businesses collapse within 3 years, it takes a lot of efforts to open shops daily. A change of government brings massive risk and you must be AWAKE to those risks daily as you operate. Yes, you must have the capacity to see risks and depart from that "Titanic”.

Quote from Francis Oguaju on March 25, 2018, 11:53 AMOne really has to be very much awake, nothing always remains as it used to; anything can happen, and therefore must be prepared for.
Just like in relationships: invest what you can afford to lose. Once you go beyond that, it could be suicidal. People won't tell you all the troubles they are having, so that you don't take off before them; but you have to critically look at things at all times.
Sometimes it's not the other person's fault, but a loss is a loss; irrespective of whose fault it is.
