Home delivery of Nigerian passports
Quote from Ndubuisi Ekekwe on October 9, 2023, 8:07 PMVery commendable: "The Nigerian Government has announced plans to deliver passports to Nigerians at their chosen locations, including homes and offices, starting from next year...The ministry has initiated the automation of the process, which is expected to enhance the overall experience for passport applicants. This development is part of the government's efforts to modernize administrative processes and provide better services to citizens."
Well done, team. Make it happen. The superb experience I received from the Nigerian Embassy in Washington DC remains evergreen. I was impressed and let us keep it going.

No agenda. If you believe that when the government does poorly that we should lambast it, you must also agree that when it has a good idea, that we should commend it. My praise of Nigeria’s government plan to deliver passports to the homes and offices of citizens should not be an issue, if we are open-minded. If the government does it, that is good for the citizens.
That I have problems with our economic policies does not mean that if we are getting immigration services right, that we should not commend those executing the playbooks. As I have said many times, if you hate your teacher, you will likely NOT do well in his/her class; if you dislike your school, you may struggle there; and if you do not like your country, the energy to see any positive will fade. Even if you do not like a governor or president, you still have an obligation to show support to a state or a nation, because those politicians come and go.
