Happiness Kicks in at $40k annual salary in Nigeria - Gallup
Quote from Ndubuisi Ekekwe on March 3, 2018, 10:41 AMYou are happy if your total annual household income in Nigeria (and SS-Africa) is at least $40k. That should be right because N14 million is truckload when government pays its lowest workers N216k per year. That explains why many Nigerian workers are not happy! (Source: Gallup)
The study is based on a life-satisfaction survey conducted on over 1 million people as part of the Gallup World Poll. Respondents across the world were asked to rate their lives on a scale of 0-10, where 0 is the “worst possible life” and 10 is the “best possible life.”
NB: The dollar amount has been adjusted for purchasing power parity.
