Fixing Corruption via Building Institutions
I made this comment on a LinkedIn feed on how to solve corruption in Nigeria by creating honorable men and women. The comment which I will like to share here:
"Where would you find these "spy" men and women? From Kano, Osogbo, Uyo or Aba? I believe that systems should be designed to be resilient, agnostic of if men are honourable or not. That is how you design electrical systems. You expect components to fail and build redundancies. So, to fix corruption in Nigeria, we do not have to first find saints. We just build a system that makes it hard for bad people to steal. It is simple as I noted in the piece you referred."
