Ex-CBN Deputy Governor Obadiah Mailafia is gone
He reached the top-most mountain as a former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria. But on that mountain, he felt the deepest valley. So, he did not hold, fighting for attention to his people.
In the Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja, I had arrived from the US to give a speech. In the end, he came to introduce himself as an ex-CBN deputy governor. Honestly, not used to seeing governors of our apex bank being unbelievably simple, I paused.
A dark sky today that Obadiah Mailafia is gone. But he is Obadiah , worshipper of Yahweh” and restoration will come. He lived well and we celebrate him. Blessing!
