Elon Musk Reflects on "Brutal" Relationship With Amber Heard in New Biography

If you thought that Elon Musk's love life was a mystery, think again. The billionaire entrepreneur has opened up about his tumultuous romance with actress Amber Heard in a new biography by journalist Ashley Vance. The book, titled "Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future", reveals some shocking details about the couple's relationship, which lasted from {2016 to 2018}.

According to the biography, Musk and Heard met at a dinner party in Los Angeles, where they instantly hit it off. They bonded over their shared passion for science fiction, art, and philanthropy. However, their relationship soon became plagued by drama, jealousy, and media scrutiny.

One of the biggest sources of conflict was Heard's ongoing divorce from actor Johnny Depp, who accused her of domestic abuse and infidelity. Depp also sued Musk for allegedly having an affair with Heard while they were still married. Musk denied the allegations and said that he only started dating Heard after she filed for divorce.

Another challenge was the distance between them, as Musk was busy running his multiple companies in different locations, while Heard was pursuing her acting career in Hollywood. The biography claims that Musk often flew to see Heard on his private jet, but he also expected her to accompany him on his trips around the world. He also wanted her to move in with him and his five sons from his previous marriage to writer Justine Wilson.

The biography describes Musk as a "hopeless romantic" who showered Heard with lavish gifts, such as a Tesla car, a diamond necklace, and a trip to Australia. He also wrote her love letters and poems, some of which are quoted in the book. However, he also had a "dark side" that made him possessive, controlling, and insecure. He reportedly hacked into Heard's phone and email accounts to monitor her communications with other people. He also accused her of cheating on him with several celebrities, including James Franco, Cara Delevingne, and Eddie Redmayne.

The biography paints a picture of a "brutal" relationship that was doomed from the start. It claims that Musk and Heard broke up and got back together several times, each time hoping that things would get better. However, they eventually realized that they were incompatible and called it quits for good in {2018}.

Musk has not commented on the biography or its contents, but he has previously admitted that his breakup with Heard was one of the most painful experiences of his life. He told Rolling Stone magazine in {2017} that he was "really in love" with Heard and that he felt "severe emotional pain" after they split. He also said that he was looking for a long-term partner who could share his vision and goals.

Heard has also moved on from the relationship and is now dating cinematographer Bianca Butti. She has also been involved in a legal battle with Depp, who sued her for defamation over an op-ed she wrote for The Washington Post about surviving domestic violence. The case is still ongoing and is expected to go to trial next year.

Still, the former couple is on good terms these days. "I love him very much," Amber said in the biography, adding, "Elon loves fire, and sometimes it burns him."

In the past, Elon has also shared kind words about his ex. "Although Amber and I did break up, we are still friends, remain close and love one another," he shared on Instagram  August 2017. "Long distance relationships when both partners have intense work obligations are always difficult, but who knows what the future holds."

Last year, he also shared his well wishes to Amber after she was found liable for defaming her ex-husband Johnny Deep in a jury trial in Virginia. "I hope they both move on," he wrote on X (formerly Twitter), the social media site he purchased in {2022}, shortly after the verdict was read. "At their best, they are each incredible."
