Dangote Expands to Cameroon
Quote from Emmanuel Awopetu on June 24, 2021, 1:36 PMAfter an eventful party in Nigeria, the Dangote group is expanding its tent into other African Nation. The latest is the group Investment in Cameroon.
With Western-owned firms pulling out of the continent in a bid to go green, this is a smart business move.
However, I expect the conglomerate to take a new turn after this which would be triggered by Climate change.
As nations become increasingly concerned about climate matters, independent regulatory bodies would be established, and to keep up with Climate regulatory demands, it would shift practice and set up mega renewable plants across the continent. This move would be made possible by its current business model.
This business model involves getting the state to buy a stake in its enterprise.
