Blockchain Courses in Nigerian Universities

I am not sure NUC (National Universities Commission) has set up a committee to examine the teaching of blockchain in Nigerian universities. That may not be the way it works. But the pace is nearly close. It remains a mystery why every university course in Nigeria must be approved by NUC. What is the Governing Council of our schools established for?

We are nearly 10 years behind the teaching of blockchain, cryptocurrency and smart contracts in our universities. Bitcoin was born in Jan 2009 and some U.S. universities introduced courses on same immediately.

But our committee may still be meeting. Do not get me wrong: I respect everyone but I just wish in Nigeria people hired to do their jobs are allowed to fail or succeed. I see no reason why a Governing Council with Deans, Provosts, etc cannot regulate the courses they want to teach across our schools.
