Becoming A Nation of Actions
Quote from Ndubuisi Ekekwe on March 20, 2021, 7:41 AMThis is one of those low points in Nigeria. Government has appointed a person to maintain order and get things done. But instead of doing just that, they begin to write grammar as though grammar works in Nigeria. Why must you give a press release to warn illegal operators in the seaport when you have the power to send police to arrest them or simply lock them out?
Yet, we thank Twitter. In the past, they used to take advertisements in newspapers reminding those importing contraband and fake products that “The Government is giving you two weeks to desist from your nefarious activities if you do not want us to come to your warehouses”. People, why the waste - you know where the bad guys are located, is it really necessary to waste money via advertisements warning them?
Nigeria needs to step up its playbook - I feel bad when I read these noisy beats from people paid to get things done.
