Be Realistic On Dream Jobs

Nigeria has a tough job market and the purity of choice is stupidity at entry level. Only few people in the world have their jobs as their hobbies. Most of those people usually pay themselves. For others, too much selection is not good.

Young graduates: do not expect your first job to be your hobby. Your hobby may not make you happy at the end of the month. That a bank demands 12 hours for a living wage should not be a burden. See it as two jobs, packaged as one, as most bank jobs pay on average 3x government rate at entry levels.

Take this from me: the best jobs are usually the ones that pay well. Hobbies disappear when the bank account responds to good monthly alert digits.

"Take this from me: the best jobs are usually the ones that pay well. Hobbies disappear when the bank account responds to good monthly alert digits." Ridiculously ridiculous, but reality has a way of keeping all the beautiful dreams in check, and responsible too.

Only few people in this life actually get what they truly desire, the rest would have to keep modifying their expectations, until reality agrees to give them a space to call their own.

Any job that can pay bills is considered good enough, the worker now has the ultimate responsibility of turning into a hobby. Life is what it is, and beautiful choices are not infinite.
