My  recommendation is this: do not commission any research you will not release 100% to the regulators/governments when it concerns kids and teenagers on your platform, because bad things always leak.

It is better to use universities which will always publish, framing all as a challenge for you to fix whatever that is broken. Mistakes were made but you need to move fast by forming a committee and making sure your platform is safe. If not, the media will “tobacolize Facebook” and that will be the end of the empire.
