A Decade Ago at Coachella: Drake and Madonna's Infamous Kiss, AC/DC Triumphant Return, and Other

Coachella 2015 was indeed unforgettable! The festival featured legendary headliners AC/DC, Jack White, and Drake. AC/DC marked their return to the stage after six years, delivering a powerful performance that thrilled fans across generations. Jack White brought his signature rock energy, while Drake's set became the talk of the festival when Madonna made a surprise appearance. She joined him on stage and planted an unscripted kiss on him, creating a moment that sparked widespread reactions and discussions.

Other notable performances included Florence Welch of Florence & the Machine, who soldiered on despite breaking her foot during her set, and appearances by The Weekend, Tyler the Creator, and Hozier. The festival also showcased iconic celebrity fashion and unforgettable moments that captured the spirit of the era.

This year’s Coachella promises to be just as epic, with Lady Gaga, Green Day, and Post Malone set to headline. The California desert is ready to rock once again! Are you planning to catch any performances this year?

It was the latter’s performance, however, that caused a stir when Drake surprised the crowd by bringing out Madonna. The table then turned, however, when Madonna delivered an unscripted kiss on the “God’s Plan” singer live onstage. While there were rumors about Drake’s less-than-enthusiastic response to the kiss, the rapper set the record straight following the festival. As he wrote on Instagram at the time, "Don't misinterpret my shock!! I got to make out with the queen Madonna, and I feel 100 about that forever. Thank you @madonna."

Other performers that weekend included Hozier, The Weeknd, Tyler the Creator and Florence & the Machine, the latter of whom also delivered a memorable performance as frontwoman Florence Welch broke her foot while jumping off the stage. But while there was a lot of excitement onstage, Coachella one decade ago also boasted some A-list celebrities in attendance many of whom have remained loyal goers in the years since.

Among those who ventured from Hollywood to take in the sun, sand and music were Kylie Jenner and her then-boyfriend Tyga, who posed for a picture with the Khy founder’s sister Khloe Kardashian. Both Kardashians wore of-the-era ankle boots, Kylie pairing hers with a lace bodysuit while Khloe opted for a gray cotton bodycon dress.

Another Coachella regular at the festival was Zoë Kravitz, who donned a plaid romper, black platform boots, a chunky gold choker and large square sunglasses. Other celebrities whose festival looks truly encapsulated the era’s fashions were Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Behati Prinsloo.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Behati Prinsloo truly embodied the festival fashion of Coachella 2015. Rosie opted for a crocheted, flowy white dress paired with a brown crossbody bag and oversized sunglasses, capturing the effortless bohemian vibe. Behati, meanwhile, rocked jean shorts, a mesh top layered over a gray bralette, and chunky black shoes. She accessorized with layered necklaces, including a rose choker, reflective sunglasses, and a wide-brimmed black hat perfectly blending edgy and chic.

Their looks were a snapshot of the era's style, making them standout icons of the festival scene.
