A Better Idea Than Sharing Money in Nigeria!
Quote from Ndubuisi Ekekwe on July 13, 2023, 3:25 PMI wish Nigeria should stop this type of policy: "The plan by the federal government of Nigeria to disburse N500 billion to 12 million households as a palliative measure to mitigate the impact of the removal of fuel subsidy on Nigerians, has stirred widespread criticism...The money is to be shared N8,000 monthly for 60 million people for the period of six months."
Rather, we can take that money and get renewable energy startups to provide 24/7 electricity in one open local market per local government area. Most of those citizens who need help will get scaled support that would be durable. If you have electricity, some of our core poverty will fade.
