In this videocast, I estimate how much MTN, Glo, Airtel and Etisalat have made in profits, in Nigeria. To do this, I looked into their total payments to the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA). The Act establishing NITDA mandates that telecommunications companies in Nigeria are required to pay 1% of their annual profits as levy for National Information Technology Development Fund (NITDEV) which NITDA controls.
