Airtel Nigeria is doing it again. Just about few months after the launch of ‘2Good’ plan, it has come up with another one. It is making calls affordable for its Nigerian customers. The new plan is called ‘Airtel Big Family’. Simply, it allows On-Net customers to pay 15 kobo per sec and Off-net 30 kobo per sec. But the customer must make the first minute call of the day at 60 kobo per sec. Yet, this applies after migration to the plan. The customer must migrate to the plan and it is not automatic.
This plan includes cheaper international calls. UK landline, USA, Canada, China and India will go for 20 kobo per second. In a statement during the launch, Rajan Swaroop, MD/CEO of Airtel stated:
“With the Airtel Big Family package, we have given our customers the benefits of communicating freely with all their family, relations and friends who are on Airtel, at affordable rates.”
