2023: My People, This Is Moment Of Truth

Fellow Nigerians, I welcome us once again to another distinguished edition. It’s always my utmost pleasure to embrace our presence on this platform in regards to the impending 2023 electoral race in Nigeria as the tradition demands.

Without you, this crusade would not have gone this far. Your solidarity since we commenced the movement has been awesome and very encouraging, to assert the least. I cannot ask for more from you than to plead with us to continue bringing out time for the political get-together.

This is the place where we discuss facts and the way forward. It is the only arena where issues of importance are discussed objectively without hiding any truth. This is the platform where we have been collectively discussing matters of interest as they concern the fast approaching 2023 general elections, particularly the Presidential poll.

In our previous edition, we took time to discuss the urgent need for us to gather as one formidable family. In that wonderful outing, we thoroughly talked about why we must come together as one indivisible member of a home, which is no doubt what we have been known for.

The previous edition told us in clear terms the reason we should not pay attention to anyone who does not mean well for the country, zone, or constituency, as the case may be.

This very edition is interested in consolidating the previous ones. Just as it reads “…this is moment of truth”, it has come to present more facts before our presence to enable us see for ourselves the difference between good, bad and worst. It is therefore targeted to tender the handwriting boldly so that even the blind could see everything.

Although so far we have been stating facts and nothing more, this edition is more focused on disclosing the fundamental facts; that is why it was branded ‘moment of truth’. It is time to explain to us in clearer words what we need to understand, or what we should have understood long ago.

It is no longer news that at the moment, several persons have indicated interest to lead Nigeria come 2023. And sooner or later, more names will definitely be included in the list of the already available aspirants.

On the other hand, soonest, most of these aspirants will drop their aspirations, either because they are stepping down for others or never had any intention to become the President of the country, or as might be the case.

Whatever reason that would make the aspirants drop their aspirations, the gospel truth remains that not all that glitters is gold. This is why we are using this medium to educate us properly towards making us know the appropriate step to take in regard to the forthcoming elections in Nigeria.

Some individuals have just come to confuse us. Their main motive is to distract the minds of the good people of Nigeria, so that they wouldn’t know where they are meant to go or the pathway to follow. They have come to cause confusion among the electorate. Such people could be described as evil.

But the good news is that, if we remain focused and careful, we can never be cajoled by this set of politicians who do not mean well for the country. If we truly understand what we want or desire, we won’t be taken for fools by anyone regardless of his or her status.

We must note that winning any election goes beyond printing banners and stickers, or what have you. Before one could win an election, he or she must have a target or objective.

Someone cannot come from anywhere and become the President of Nigeria, or what have you. It’s noteworthy that time has gone when elections were characterized by rigging; right now, everybody’s vote counts.

Nigerians are too old and experienced in the game to be deceived by anyone no matter how highly placed he or she is. The people of the country know exactly what they want, so cannot in any way be cajoled by any individual. Among all, Nigerians do not need anyone to decide on their behalf because they know what is good for them and the country at large.

The electorate, therefore, must pay attention to only a focused politician who is out to put Nigeria in the world map; a person whose conscience is very much alive; someone who can take the country to the right path; a Nigerian who had sought for God’s divine direction before concluding in aspiring for the number one seat in the country.

We must equally be mindful of the ‘not too young to run’ law. Ordinarily, President Muhammadu Buhari wouldn’t have considered signing that bill into law acknowledging his present age, but he was compelled by the Almighty to do otherwise or contrary to his wish for the country’s sake.

This is where divinity comes in, and that is what controls whatever we do here on earth. Once God says ‘yes’, no one can say ‘no’ or vice-versa. In other words, if you are into any race with the support of God, failure can never see your backside let alone embrace you. One with God is the majority.

Let’s take a break till we meet again as I urge us to carefully digest the above message.
