Fans of Samsung’s flagship smartphone the Galaxy S3 who are eagerly awaiting this summer’s sporting event, are in for a treat as Samsung and Eurosport have teamed up to bring free coverage to Galaxy S3 owners.
You’ll be able to watch all the excitement and live coverage of the London 2012 Olympic Games for free on your Samsung Galaxy S3 handset with Eurosport Player.
Samsung Galaxy S3 owners can get a free one-month subscription to Eurosport Player for all the sporting action available on Eurosport and Eurosport 2.
You need to subscribe between 14 July and 12 August for the app, and you can download the free Eurosport Player on Samsung Apps or Google Play, with the option to extend your subscription once the free month is up.
Normally, Eurosport Player costs €5.90 / £4.76 per month.
Once you have the app on your phone you’ll be able to access thousands of hours of the different sporting events, wherever you happen to be. The app can be used over 3G or Wi-Fi, although Google Play recommends Wi-Fi for a “high quality experience”.
The Galaxy S3 is the official phone of the Olympic Games and Samsung is an official partner of the event, so it makes sense to offer something more in the build-up to the Olympics.
Samsung is also offering a special edition Galaxy S3 to athletes taking part in the Olympics, loaded with a Visa payWave app to allow mobile payments to be made on their phones.
The Galaxy S2 successor arrived at the end of May, after pre-orders surpassed the 9 million mark earlier that month, and is set to be one of the hottest smartphones of 2012.
