Technology Africa, organizers of Titans of Tech awards has named the Group Chief Executive Officer of Computer Warehouse Group (CWG) Mr. Austin Kwesi Okere as the award ‘Technology Africa Personality of the Year 2012.”

This award is somehow very early unless they are using a different calendar to what all of us are using. 2012 is not even half-gone and people are issuing full-year award. Does it mean we do not expect any more progress in ICT in the next few months?

To Mr. Okere, congrats.

The annual award recognizes those who are making true difference by their contributions either directly or indirectly in increasing African contents in Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) products and services in the emerging market.

According to the organizers, Okere has contributed immensely to the growth of ICT in the country, especially Hardware, Software, Internet, IT Education, IT Security and Telecommunications, and was recognized in that capacity by Technology Africa.
